I changed who's on a shift, but their calendar didn't change
Staffing changes wait for you to press Update or Push all to Google. Here's why, and how to send them.
You took someone off a shift, or put someone new on it, and their Google Calendar still shows the old version. Nothing is broken. The change is waiting for you to send it.
Screens use your own word for the people on your roster (set in Customize → Terminology). This article says "staff".
Changes wait for you
When you add or remove someone on a booking that's already on Google, Logidex saves it right away in Logidex, but it doesn't touch Google until you say so. That way you can make several changes, like swapping two people and fixing a time, and send them all at once instead of emailing your team three times.
How to tell a change is waiting
On the booking, under Service shifts, the invite line under that shift changes from On Google to say what's different, like New artist or Artists removed. Your Dashboard's Needs attention card lists bookings with changes not sent to Google yet.
Sending it
- Press Update on that shift's invite line to send just that one.
- Or press Push all to Google at the bottom of Service shifts to send everything on the booking.
When the line reads On Google again, it's done.
Who gets an email
- Someone added gets a new invite email.
- Someone removed gets an email saying they were taken off.
- Everyone else on that invite is left alone, unless you tick Also email everyone about this change.
⭐ Removing someone and adding them straight back, without pressing Update in between, doesn't send anything new. To Google, nothing changed.
The one exception
Emergency coverage sends its changes to Google straight away, because there's nobody there to press a button.
